Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Recreation Department:
WILMINGTON, MA — The weather might be cooling down but the kitchen will be heating up this fall in our Kids’ Test Kitchen class!
Each class presents students with an opportunity to explore new or familiar foods to prepare fun snacks, entrees and side dishes with a focus on health. With adult supervision and occasional assistance, you will virtually work together to slice, dice, peel, measure and cook until both the student and instructor have each prepared the finished dish!
Younger students may require the help of a Sous Chef. Each household is considered as one participant making this a perfect opportunity for siblings and parents to work together!
We will be using the new Kids’ Test Kitchen parent platform to deliver shopping lists and access instructional videos.
This class runs on Tuesdays, from October 27 to November 24, from 4pm to 5pm. It is open to all kids in grades 1 to 5. Cost is $70 per household.
To register, please visit our website https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/recreation and log into your account. You can also call the Rec. Office at 978-658-4270 to register, or if you have any questions, we would be glad to help! We are open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
