WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Tuesday, October 13, 2020:
#1) Watch Wilmington Board Of Selectmen Meeting
The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room. Residents are asked to watch via WCTV. Read the agenda HERE.
#2) Drive-Thru Flu Clinic At Wilmington Senior Center
The Wilmington Senior Center is hosting a Drive-Thru Flu Clinic for seniors (65 and over) on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, from 9am to noon.
Call the Senior Center at 978-657-7595 to make an appointment. Space is limited.
Once you sign up, insurance forms, screening forms and Vaccine Information Sheets will be available for pick up at the Senior Center. You will be advised as to where and when to pick them up prior to the clinic date.
When you arrive for actual flu clinic, bring your insurance form completed and signed. Wear a short sleeve shirt. (If you’re the driver, you will receive the vaccine on your left arm. If you are the passenger, you will receive the vaccine on the right arm.) No pets allowed in the vehicle. You will not be able to get out of your vehicle, so be ready with your arm out.
#3) Library On The Lawn
Would you like to browse and checkout books and DVDs? Be sure to stop by the front of the Wilmington Memorial Library from 10am to noon to peruse several carts of both adult and children’s materials. Masks are required and we ask all to respect social distancing. This event will not take place during inclement weather.
#4) Virtual Preschool Storytime From Wilmington Library
This 10am storytime for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, and music. Ages 3-5. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.
#5) WHS Golf Team In Action
The WHS Golf Team takes on Wakefield High at 3:30pm at Thomson Country Club in North Reading.
