#2) Rosary Rally On Wilmington Town Common
A “Rosary Rally” will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at noon at the Town Gazebo. This public recitation of the rosary is one of 20,000 rallies that will take place on that day. Attendees will be gathering to pray for our church and civic leaders, for an end to the pandemic, and for the dignity of all life from conception to natural death. Everyone must follow all social distancing guidelines: wear a mask at the event and keep six feet from others. This is a religious event, NOT a political rally. Come and pray the rosary with us!
#3) Yard Sale
18 Hardin Street is holding a Yard Sale to benefit the Jimmy Fund Walk on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 8am to 3pm. Rain or Shine. No Early Birds. Cash Only. Treasures, antiques – bargains for everyone. Masks and social distance required.
#4) Book Store Next Door Outdoor Sale
The Friends of the Library Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) will be open for an outside sale from 10am to 2pm. Customers can shop BOTH inside and outdoors. Rain date is Wednesday, October 14. One bag or one box of donations will be accepted during the sale hours. All proceeds benefit the Wilmington Memorial Library.
#5) Library Event: Rockabye Beats
Rockabye Beats is a fun and interactive program for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers that features music, dancing, Spanish, and fun. We want to invite you and your child to our front lawn at 10am to sing, dance, move, ask questions, learn a little bit of Spanish, and play while at the same time introducing them to musical ideas such as melody, rhythm, tempo, and pitch. BONUS: Pumpkin Patch At Wilmington United Methodist Church
The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) has organized its 5th Annual Pumpkin Patch. The Patch will be open from noon to 7pm during the week and 9am to 7pm on the weekends through Halloween (while supplies last).
There is a large selection and variety of pumpkins and gourds available for sale daily on the church’s front lawn. Credit cards will be accepted.
