WILMINGTON, MA — The Environmental Protection Agency recently held a virtual public hearing to provide a forum for members of the public to provide oral comments on the proposed cleanup plan for the Olin Chemical Superfund Site in Wilmington.

For those who could not attend the hearing to give their oral comments, written comments can be submitted to EPA by Monday, October 26, 2020 to:

The hearing consisted of a brief 15-minute presentation of the clean-up plan, followed by 45 minutes of comments from the public. Town officials who made comments included Town Manager Jeff Hull, Selectmen Chair Jonathan Eaton, and Selectwoman Jomarie O’Mahony. Several members of the Wilmington Environmental Restoration Committee (WERC) spoke, including Gary Mercer, Martha Stevenson, Suzanne Sullivan and Liz Harriman. A representative from Congressman Seth Moulton’s office was also present.
