Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Department of Public Works:
WILMINGTON, MA — Please be advised that National Grid Gas has requested that Woburn Street be closed to through traffic between Lowell Street and Eames Street, in conjunction with their ongoing gas main improvement project.
The closure is currently expected to run for 5 working days from Thursday, October 1, 2020 through Wednesday October 7, 2020, excluding the weekend. The closure will only be during daytime hours, between 7am and 4pm, with the roadway being reopened in the evening.
Traffic is planned to be detoured around the area using West Street to Industrial Way, and also Eames Street to Main Street to Lowell Street.
Please obey detour signs and warning signs, and follow the directives of Police Details.
Area residents will have access to their properties, although there may be short delays.
