WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Saturday, September 26, 2020:
#1) Vigil For Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg On Wilmington Town Common
A vigil for the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been announced for this Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 7pm on the Wilmington Town Common across from Wilmington High School (159 Church Street).
Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, candles, and wear any clothing that honors “RBG.”
Masks and social distancing are required.
Learn more and RSVP to the Facebook event HERE.
#2) Book Store Next Door Open — Inside & Outside
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door will be open this Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 10am to 2pm.
It will be a hybrid opening – outdoors and indoors. Children’s books, large print, classics, and paperbacks will be outside. Fiction and non-fiction will be inside. Please enter from the back door, use the hand sanitizer, and exit (and pay) from the front door. There will be a limit of 3 customers in the store at a time. We love children, but since the kid books will be outside, children will not be allowed in the store at this time. Masks and social distancing will be required for all inside and outside shoppers.
Donations will be accepted — one box or bag for family.
And, as if being open indoors isn’t enough, all books on CD are $1. Regular price is $4. What a deal!
