Wilmington To Hold 9/11 Ceremony On September 11 On Town Common; Residents Invited To Attend Or Watch Live Online

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Department of Veterans Services:

WILMINGTON, MA — On Friday, September 11, 2020, the Wilmington Department of Veterans Services will be hosting a solemn ceremony to remember the lives lost on this date 19 years ago.

Attendees will assemble on the Town Common at 8am. A moment of silence will be observed at 8:46am, the time the first plane hit the North Tower. Anyone who attends must wear a mask and maintain social distance.

The event will be live-streamed on the Wilmington Department of Veterans Services Facebook page.
