WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Memorial Library and Wilmington Community Television recently hosted a discussion with author Dr. Haider Warriach.
In his book, Modern Death, Dr. Haider Warraich takes a broader look at how we die today, from the cellular level up to the very definition of death itself. He explores the rituals and language of dying and provides an enriched understanding of how death differs from the past and how trends and events have transformed this most final of human experiences. His latest book is State of the Heart (2019). Dr. Warraich is a physician, writer, and clinical researcher. He completed internal medicine and cardiology training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and Duke University. He has appeared on the major TV channels and radio programs including Fresh Air with Terry Gross.
The event was funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
