The constituents of the Massachusetts 6th District are very fortunate to have Congressman Seth Moulton as their Representative. I do not reside in that district, but I wish Seth Moulton were my Congressman.
Like Seth, I served in the United States Marine Corps. I served as an infantryman in the First Gulf War (1990-1991). When I enlisted in 1988, we were taught 14 leadership traits: integrity, knowledge, courage, decisiveness, dependability, initiative, tact, justice, enthusiasm, bearing, endurance, unselfishness, loyalty, and judgment. Seth has all 14.
Seth served in a war that he disagreed with and put his life on the line for a foreign policy that turned out to be a disaster. He didn’t have to, but he did. That alone says a lot about who this man really is. Seth is courageous, dependable, and unselfish. Seth is also intelligent and enthusiastic about the causes he believes are important for the people of this nation. He is committed to social justice, climate justice, and affordable health care for all Americans. His record in Congress bears that out.
I may not be a leader, but as a former Marine, I certainly recognize a great leader when I see one.
