WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Wednesday, August 5, 2020:
#1) Town Yardwaste Center Open From 8AM To 2PM
The Town’s Yardwaste Center, located on Old Main Street, off of Main Street at the Woburn line, will be open from 8am to 2pm.
Wilmington residents only may use the center to drop off leaves and brush. In order to use the facility, residents must purchase a $15 punch card at the Treasurer/Collector’s Office at Town Hall. The card has no expiration date and is good for 5 visits to the facility. Residents will be asked to show the punch card an an ID at the entrance to the facility. No grass clippings may be disposed at the recycling center due to the odors they create. Stumps will not be accepted. No contractors or commercial vehicles are allowed.

#2) Food4Vets: Wilmington Veterans Invited To Food Distribution Event In Tewksbury On August 5
Clear Path for Veterans New England, with the support of Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, will be distributing food to veterans on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, from 10am to 1pm, at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street).
Veterans from Wilmington, Tewksbury, Wourn, Reading and Billerica are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Veterans must complete this form and will be provided with specific instructions regarding hours of operation and procedures for safe pickup in a confirmation email. Veterans do not need to get out of their vehicles.
Veterans will be picking up a box of non-perishable food supplies which should be sufficient to cover meals for 10-14 days (2 adults).

#3) Watch The Wilmington Board Of Appeals Meeting
The Wilmington Board of Appeals meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will air live on WCTV and wctv.org.
#4) Time For Twos At Wilmington Memorial Library
This storytime for two year olds at 10am includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.
#5) Tech Help At Wilmington Memorial Library
If you are having an issue with a piece of technology or have some questions about something before you go out and buy it, register for this one-on-one session with technology librarian, Brad, at 7pm.
