Below is a letter from Wilmington Library Director Tina Stewart:
Dear Library Patrons,
I am pleased to announce that the library will move to Phase 3 of our Reopening Plans allowing for patrons to visit the library by appointment. In order to comply with social distancing requirements and ensure the safety of staff and patrons, we will be limiting the number of patrons allowed in the library at one time. Patrons may make an appointment for a 50 minute session to browse on the first floor, use the copier/ FAX machine, or visit the Youth Services Department. Reservations may be made online or by calling the library at 978-658-2967. Per the Governor’s directive, all patrons over the age of two are required to wear masks while in the library. Patrons will also be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the library. The library will look a bit different during you visit. For example, chairs and study tables will not be available and toys in the Children’s Room have been removed. For more information about available services and restrictions and to book an appointment, please check the library’s website.
Patrons can also continue to utilize curbside service Monday through Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am to 4pm. Library on the Lawn offers outside browsing on Tuesday 10 am to 12 noon and Thursday 5 pm to 7 pm.
Whether outside or inside the library, the staff and I look forward to seeing you and hope you are staying safe and healthy.
