EPA To Hold Virtual Public Info Meeting On August 25 To Explain Proposed Cleanup Plan For Olin Site

Below is an announcement from the Environmental Protection Agency:

WILMINGTON, MA — EPA will hold a virtual informational meeting and virtual formal hearing on a proposed cleanup plan for the Olin Chemical Superfund Site in Wilmington. The plan outlines EPA’s preferred approach for an interim action to remove ongoing sources of contamination in groundwater and a final action to address contamination in soil, sediments, and surface water.

Public Information Meeting and Q&A: Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm

Formal Public Hearing to Provide Oral Comments: Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm

Additional information on EPA’s proposed cleanup plan and how to participate in EPA’s virtual community events will be posted to the website in August.

EPA’s proposed cleanup plan will be available on the website after Monday, August 10, 2020. The public comment period will run from August 26, 2020 to September 25, 2020. To obtain a hard copy of the cleanup plan or to be added to the electronic mailing list, e-mail white.sarah@epa.gov.
