5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Tuesday, July 7, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Tuesday, July 7, 2020:

#1) Library On The Lawn

Would you like to browse and checkout books and DVDs?  Be sure to stop by the front of the Wilmington Memorial Library from 10am to noon to peruse several carts of both adult and children’s materials.  Masks are required and we ask all to respect social distancing. This event will not take place during inclement weather.

#2) Watch Wilmington Planning Board Meeting

The Wilmington Planning Board meets at 7:30pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org.

#3) Virtual Cooking Lessons For Kids: Mugs Meals With Julie At Wilmington Library 

The Wilmington Memorial Library is holding a cooking lessons for kids (Grades 4 & up) at 7pm via Zoom.

Make an individual serving-sized cheesecake along with Chef Julie! For this scratch cooking lesson, you’ll need a mug, a microwave, and these ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 graham cracker sheets
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 drops vanilla extract
  • 5 fresh raspberries, or the topping of your choice, for serving

This is an online event via Zoom. An invite will be sent at least an hour prior to the start of the program to the email given at registration. Please do not use a school email address (wpsk12.com). #4) Virtual Preschool Story Time At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting a Virtual Preschool Story Time at 10am. This storytime for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, and music. Ages 3-5. Zoom Meeting Room invitations will be emailed to registered attendees at least one hour before the event. Register HERE.

#5) Virtual Tech Help With Wilmington Library

If you are having an issue with a piece of technology or have some questions about something before you go out and buy it, register for this one-on-one session with technology librarian Brad McKenna at 10am. Please note: you’ll need to have Zoom installed to take advantage of this service.
