WILMINGTON, MA — WCTV recently filmed several town officials wishing residents a Happy Fourth Of July.
Messages were recorded with Selectmen Chair Greg Bendel, Veterans Services Director Lou Cimaglia, Police Chief Joe Desmond, Fire Chief Bill Cavanaugh, and Community Liaison Officer Ronald Alpers.
Cimaglia recognized the hard work of the Fourth of July Committee, which would have celebrated its 40th Fun on the Fourth this week. He noted that Wilmington is one of the most patriotic towns in the country. He recalled when former Senator Scott Brown told him: “You guys are so patriotic, you even have your own Fourth of July building.”
