UPDATE: Wilmington’s Concerts On The Common Have Been CANCELLED Due To COVID-19

WILMINGTON, MA — Town officials made the decision on Friday to cancel this summer’s Concerts on the Common series due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The announcement was released on Sunday morning:

“The Town of Wilmington is disappointed to announce the cancellation of this summer’s Concerts on the Common series, due to COVID 19.  Although the Governor has moved the State into Phase 3, there are still restrictions on large gatherings.  The Recreation Department will be working to provide great concerts when all is safe in Summer 2021.”

The concert series originally had 4 acts scheduled for upcoming Wednesday nights on the Town Common — Jimmy & The Jesters on July 15; BackTrack on July 22; Joe Leary on July 29; and Ball in the House on August 5.
