Tewksbury Police Arrest Billerica Man For Allegedly Trafficking Fentanyl

Below is a press release from the Tewksbury Police Department:

TEWKSBURY, MA — On Thursday, June 18, 2020, the Tewksbury Police Department arrested David P. Dion, 32, of 54 Connolly Road in Billerica, for the following offenses and active arrest warrants:

  • Trafficking fentanyl in more than ten (10) grams
  • Fugitive from justice
  • Resisting arrest
  • Arrest warrant out of Newbury District Court-Possession of a class B substance/Operating motor vehicle after suspension.
  • Arrest warrant out of Hillsborough County New Hampshire for habitual offender class B Felony.

Members of the Tewksbury Patrol and Detectives Division observed Dion in the parking lot of the Marriott Town Place Suites at 20 International Place in Tewksbury. Officers discovered that Dion had active warrants for his arrest. When officers approached Dion he fled on foot and was apprehended a short distance later. At the time of his arrest Dion was found to have fentanyl in his possession.

Dion was held on $75,000 bail and is being held at the Billerica House of Correction.
