In a recent interview with Wilmington Apple, Mason noted that real estate market is still “pretty hot.”
“As soon as a house goes on the market, it’s often gone within a day or two. I just had 4 offers on a house I listed. It had only been on the market for 5 days,” recalled Mason. “There’s way more buyers than sellers at the moment.”
Mason noted that real estate agents have adopted quickly to the new realities due to COVID-19.
“Things are changing. I have been holding virtual meetings with buyers and sellers, instead of meeting them for coffee or going to their homes,” explained Mason. “I have a presentation I go over, educating them on the buying or selling process and what they can expect. And I tell them about me and my organization.”
At the time of our interview, Mason noted that open houses weren’t yet taking place, but they will soon resume with safety precautions in place, including a controlled number of people that may tour a home at one time.
Mason praised Lammachia Realty for the guidance its providing agents during COVID-19.
“Lammachia Realty has been holding weekly virtual meetings with agents, sharing best practices and safety practices, and providing directions on how to keep homes safe and clean,” stressed Mason. “The amount of education we’re receiving is phenomenal. The communication is constant and there’s great teamwork.”
