VIDEO: Learn About Wilmington Library’s 2020 Kids Summer Reading Program

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Memorial Library’s Youth Services Librarian Barbara Raab recently announced details around the Kids Summer Reading Program for toddlers, preschoolers, and kids up to going into Grade 3. Registration is now open HERE.

This year’s theme is “Imagine Your Story.” The program has three parts — (1) reading, (2) fairy tale activity challenges, and (3) virtual programming. Families can track their reading through a new online virtual tool called “Beanstack.”(Paper logs will also be available upon request.) Children will earn digital badges and prizes for reading and completing fun activities.

Children who read for 8 hours will receive a free book. Children who read for 16 hours will earn a free ice cream at The Corner Store in Wilmington.

The program kicks off this Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10am with a Zoom concert with the popular Toe Jam Puppet Band. Register for the concert HERE.

A Separate reading program is also being offered for children entering Grades 4-8.
