WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, June 8, 2020 at 7pm. The meeting will take place online and shown live on WCTV (Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon) at http://www.wctv.org. (Members can also listen in to the meeting by dialing 1-646-558-8656 and entering meeting ID 850 9382 8400 and then press # and press # again at the next voice prompt.)
There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:
- Selectmen will receive an update from Town Health Director Shelley Newhouse and Fire Chief Bill Cavanaugh on the town’s COVID-19 response. The Coronavirus Aide Relief and Economics Security (CARES) Act will be discussed.
- Selectmen will honor Selectman Mike McCoy, who will be serving at his final meeting after 30 years of service.
- Selectmen will discuss whether to postpone some Annual Town Meeting articles to a Special Town Meeting on a date to be determined.
- Selectmen will consider procedures & policy regarding outdoor seating and serving of alcohol by restaurants.
- Town Manager Jeff Hull will discuss transfer requests from the Finance Committee Reserve Account.
- Town Finance Director Bryan Perry will discuss FY20 grant awards.
- Town Manager Hull will share a public notice hearing related to the reconstruction of Route 38 project.
- Selectmen will hold a public hearing for an earth removal permit for 613 Main Street.
- Selectmen will consider the request of Town Health & Recovery Coordinator Samantha Reif to hold the 5th Annual Vigil For Those Lost To Substance Abuse on the Town Common on September 21, 2020, from 5pm to 10pm.
- Selectmen will will consider the request of Town Clerk Christine Touma-Conway to appoint additional election workers for 2020.
