WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department has an exciting lineup of Concerts on the Common this July! Concerts take place on Wednesday nights, from 6:30pm to 8pm, on the Town Common.
Bring a chair or a blanket, and relax to the sweet sounds of summer.
On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, 6:30pm-8pm, Ball in the House will perform. The group is a cappella at its best! As the Boston Globe put it, “Ball in the House has everything you would expect to find in a successful pop/rock band… the one thing it doesn’t have is instruments.” (Rain date: Thursday, July 9, 2020)
On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, 6:30pm-8pm, Jimmy & The Jesters will perform. Jimmy “Mr. Rock & Roll” Merrick and The Jesters specialize in the oldies and classic country tunes the way you remember them. Come out and see why this group is a fan favorite. (Rain date: Thursday, July 16, 2020)
On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 6:30pm-8pm, BackTrack will perform. BackTrack is a small band with a big sound producing the most accurate rendition of songs from each era! Get ready for a wide selection of classic songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, the Girl Groups of the 60’s, and over 25 other bands and artists. Some people call it “oldies” or “memory music,” but we just call it fun! (Rain Date: Thursday, July 23, 2020)
On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, 6:30pm-8pm, Joe Leary will perform. A Wilmington native and singer/songwriter, Joe had a wide array of Irish, country, and acoustic music. An evening with Joe means good friends, good times and good music. (Rain Date: Thursday, July 30, 2020)
If concerts need to be cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, or if attendees need to follow additional guidance beyond social distancing, the Wilmington Recreation Department will make such announcements closer to the dates.
