WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Health Department will be distributing free masks and latex free gloves to residents during a giveaway event on Monday, June 1, 2020, from 10am to noon, in the parking lot of Wilmington Town Hall (121 Glen Road).
Only Wilmington residents may receive masks and gloves. IDs will be checked.
Recipients will not leave their vehicles. Each vehicle will receive one kit. An adult kit includes approximately 6 masks and 4 sets of latex free gloves. An adult & child kit includes approximately 6 child masks (fits about ages 7 and under), 6 adult masks and 4 sets of latex free gloves.
Residents are asked not to arrive early so Town Hall business is not disrupted.
The masks and gloves were purchased thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Wilmington Community Fund.
“Thanks to the generosity of the Wilmington Community Fund, Health Director Shelly Newhouse was able to obtain face masks and gloves to distribute to Wilmington families,” Town Manager Jeff Hull announced at Tuesday night’s Selectmen’s Meeting. “In fact, she is continuing to use funds from this donation to purchase additional mask and gloves.”
Hull extended a “wholehearted thank you” to the Wilmington Community Fund for their “steadfast support of our community” since 1945.
