POLICE LOG for May 24: Man Arrested For OUI & Drugs After Allegedly Driving 70 MPH On Main Street At 7PM

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, May 24, 2020:
  • Police notified DPW that Winston Avenue street sign had been knocked down. (12:23am)
  • A resident reported her father was out for a walk earlier with a dog and a loose dog attacked him and his dog. Dog was uninjured and man had a few scratches. Caller believes dog lives in Sheridan Road area. Animal Control Officer notified. (10:41am)
  • Caller requested an officer speak to parties playing basketball at high school court about their language. Officer advised parties, who wrapped up their play. (2:54pm)
  • Michael Paul Meehan (24, Medford) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd offense), Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Speeding, Possession Of A Class B Drug, Possession Of A Class E Drug, Stop/Failure To Yield, and Possession Of An Open Container Of Alcohol In Motor Vehicle. Meehan allegedly ran a red light at 70 MPH at Main Street and Burlington Avenue. He was pulled over in front of Unique Foreign Auto. (7:11pm)
