5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Sunday, May 24, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Sunday, May 24, 2020:

#1) Rededication Of Veteran Parks, Squares & Monuments

At 1pm, residents are invited to visit the Police Station where the Department of Veterans Services will read the names of Wilmington’s fallen officer and place a wreath at their monument. At 1:15pm, a short ceremony will take place on the Town Common. A little bio will be read about every monument around town, explaining why the fallen hero has the monument named after them.

#2) Decorate Your Front Door For Memorial Day

The Wilmington Department of Veterans Services would like to encourage residents to decorate their front doors with a patriotic theme to remember the men and women who died while serving in the military. (Please avoid using the term “Happy Memorial Day.”)

The Wilmington Apple will be helping keep track of where the doors are located so that residents may enjoy them.

Photos of the doors may be sent to wilmingtondoorproject2020@gmail.com and will be uploaded to the Wilmington MA Veterans Services Facebook Page.
