5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Tuesday, May 19, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Tuesday, May 19, 2020:

#1) Limited Supply Of Wildcat Flags Still Available

Wilmington True Value/Fresh Paint (264 Main Street, inside the Wilmington Plaza) is now selling the “Wilmington Flags For Our Future” that have been popping up all over town. Customers can do a curbside pickup or purchase inside the store. Call the store at 978-657-6161 with any questions.

#2) Wilmington Library To Discuss Phased Reopening

The Wilmington Board of Library Trustees meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org.

#3) Wilmington’s Kid Nature Club To Virtually Meet

Budding naturalists will learn about birds that live in Wilmington through photographs, videos and sounds in this Zoom meeting at 4pm with the Wilmington Memorial Library.  Kids will do bird activities, including a bird identification game.  Grades K-3. Register HEREZoom Meeting Information will be emailed to participants at least 60 minutes before the program.

#4) Virtual Teen Trivia Night For Teens

The Wilmington Memorial Library is holding a Virtual Teen Trivia Night at 7pm. Show us your smarts at pub-style trivia via Zoom! Play against your friends, putting your pop culture knowledge to the test. The winning team walks off with prizes and bragging rights! BYO snacks! Grades 6-12. Register HERE. This is an online event via Zoom. An invite will be sent at least an hour prior to the start of the program to the email given at registration. Please do not use a school email address (wpsk12.com). Be sure to check your clutter/junk/spam boxes if the invite does not appear in your inbox.

#5) REMINDER: Closure Of Lowell Commuter Rail Line

The Lowell Commuter Rail Line, between Anderson/Woburn Station and North Station, is CLOSED from May 18 through May 24, to support the construction of the Green Line Extension (GLX) project. During this work, shuttle buses will replace service between Anderson/Woburn and North Stations for seven consecutive days. There is also an express shuttle from Anderson/Woburn directly to North Station.
