WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Monday, May 18, 2020:

#1) Tremezzo Ristorante To Donate 15% Of Proceeds To WHS Football Team

Tremezzo Ristorante (2 Lowell Street) is donating 15% of its food sales to benefit the Wilmington High School Football Team on Monday, May 18, 2020, from 3pm to 8pm.

Tremezzo Ristorante is currently offering delivery and curbside pickup. Family meals are available.

“This is a great opportunity to support a local business and the Football Team at the same time,” wrote Nancy Roberts, President of the Wilmington Touchdown Club, in the announcement.

Customers do NOT need to mention the fundraiser to the restaurant. No flyers necessary. 15% of their bills will automatically be donated to the team.

#2) FREE Curbside Meals For Wilmington Students

Wilmington Food Services is offering FREE “grab and go” breakfasts and lunches at Wilmington High School every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:30am to 11:30am.

This curbside pickup service is open to ALL Wilmington students in all grades, including those that do not attend Wilmington schools. The program has plenty of food and would like to feed more students than it’s currently feeding. There is NO contact — just unlock your trunk and food service workers will place the meals inside.

#3) Proposed Apartment Complex Across From Elia’s To Be Discussed By Town Officials 

The Wilmington Community Development Technical Review Team meets at 9:30am via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org. The meeting will focus on the proposed 108-unit apartment complex being proposed for Jefferson Road in North Wilmington.

#4) Wilmington Library’s Cookbook Book Club To Meet Virtually

The Wilmington Memorial Library’s “Cookin The Books” book club will meet from noon to 1pm via Zoom. Register HERE.

If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you!  Register and record your recipe using this Signup Genius link. Make the recipe prior to the online meeting and be prepared to share your cooking experience with the group.  This month’s recipes should all come from the Bon Appetit website. (There is no specific cookbook this month.)

#5) Library To Host Virtual Discussion Of Pandemic

Watch a Great Decisions video titled Global Health Preventing Pandemic on YouTube then join the online discussion via Zoom at 7pm. Led by facilitator Keith West.  Register HERE.
