Below is a message from Wilmington Police Chief Joseph Desmond:
WILMINGTON, MA — With the upcoming phased in reopening of the Commonwealth by Governor Baker on May 18th, the Wilmington Police Department will need to redirect their objectives back to delivering the highest quality of emergency services to the Town of Wilmington.
In anticipation of the increased activity that will result from the reopening of the state, the Wilmington Police Department has found it necessary to make the decision to suspend any future Birthday, Graduation, or Retirement Drive-by Parades after May 18th.
Every Police Officer and Firefighter has been honored to be a part of your special occasion over the last two months and we would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy birthday as we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stay healthy and safe!
