POLICE LOG for May 10: Car vs. Deer On Highway; Brush Fires; Power Surge?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, May 10, 2020:
  • Police assisted with the traffic in the Starbucks parking lot. (6:49am)
  • Police reported traffic light signals were on flash at Lowell Street & Woburn Street. A power surge was suspected as multiple commercial alarms were sounding. RMLD reported no power surge was reported. Mass Highway was notified to reset the lights. (8:33am)
  •  Fire Department responded to brush fire in grass area next to overpass on Concord Street. (8:54am)
  • Fire Department responded to a small brush fire in front of Game Stop in the plaza. (3:18pm)
  • A Wedgewood Avenue caller reported a neighbor has a burn or out-of-control fire pit in the backyard. Police and fire responded. Resident was burning cardboard. Flames were extinguished. (4:25pm)
  • A vehicle struck a deer on the 93 South Exit 38 ramp. Airbag deployed. (7:35pm)
