WILMINGTON, MA — Watch the latest episode of “Talk of the Town” with WCTV’s Ryan Malyar, featuring quick, feel-good stories from around town.
In this episode, Malyar remotely interviews Burlington High School’s Matt Tengtrakool about QuaranGreen, a student-run campaign to distribute potted lettuce plants to households in Burlington, Wilmington and across the state. Tengtrakool hopes the plants will promote healthy eating habits, reduce stress, and keep community during the pandemic. To date, more than 250 plants have been distributed in Burlington and 150 plants have been distributed in Billerica. Tengtrakool hopes to soon be reaching Wilmington residents as well.
Tengtrakool discusses why he started the campaign, how people can participate, why he selected lettuce as the plant to share, how successful the program has been thus far, and why he hopes Wilmington residents will get involved.
