WILMINGTON, MA — Allan C. Nickerson, a lifelong resident of Reading, passed away on March 29, 2020 at the Advinia Care Nursing Center in Wilmington. He was 87 years of age.
Allan was born in Reading, Massachusetts on January 26, 1933 the son of the late Frank and Marjorie (Gray) Nickerson. Allan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart. After Korea he went to work for the Town of Reading for the Department of Public Works Water Department. He worked for the town his entire career.
Allan was the beloved husband of Barbara L. (White) Nickerson. Devoted father of Marsha J. Nickerson and her fiancé Daniel Senior of Salem, NH and Judith L. Nickerson of Reading. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey Russell and his wife Sheila of Reading, Kristel Geary and Sean Geary both of Woburn. Grateful father in Law of Kevin Geary of Woburn. Cherished brother of the late Frank, Charles, Robert and Ralph Nickerson and Marjorie Scott.
