Below is a message from the Parish of the Transfiguration:
Hello Wilmington Families,
We hope you all had a nice Easter. We continue to pray for all of our families and our parish community.
Now that Lent is over we are coming out of the darkness and into the light. This week’s theme is honoring our Earth Angels. As Father Earley mentioned in his Easter Sunday sermon, we are all asked to Be a Light during this COVID-19 pandemic. That means we should try to help others through our thoughts, words and actions.
This week we are spotlighting our Earth Angels – healthcare workers, first responders, grocery clerks, local leaders, nursing home aides, essential personnel, etc. – anyone whose efforts are helping us to get through this difficult time. Below are “Angels on Earth” signs that we ask you to send to an Earth Angel you know to let them know you appreciate their time and talents.
We also ask that you do what you can in your homes and neighborhood to Be A Light! That may be helping with household chores, checking in with elderly neighbors, cleaning up the neighborhood from the storm, contacting family and friends via text, phone call, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.
Please email Deb Casey at email@example.com with what things you are doing to be an Earth Angel and/or let us know about the Earth Angel you honored. We will post it to our website.
Blessings for continued physical, mental and spiritual health to your family and please keep the faith!
