WILMINGTON, MA — Ruth E. (LeCain) Pelletier, 79, formerly of Peabody, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Advinia Health Care in Wilmington.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Hazel (Johnson) LeCain. She received her education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School. Ruth had been employed for many years as a bus monitor for the City of Peabody school system until the time of her retirement.
Surviving her are three daughters, Doreen Penoli and her husband, Allen of Windsor, CA, Suzanne Gramolini and her husband, Tim of Exeter, NH and Heide Ingemi of Northwood, NH, four sons, Hans Mertsch and his wife, Judith of Salem, Kurt Mertsch and his wife, Debbie of Salem, Roland Mertsch of Manchester, NH and Marc Pelletier and his wife, Katie of Rowley, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Spencer and her husband, Steve of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Patricia Quirk.
Her funeral services were private. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Peabody Council on Aging, 79 Central St, Peabody, MA 01960.
