WILMINGTON, MA — As first reported by the Wilmington Patch, Pointe Care Group, LLC, operator AdviniaCare at Wilmington, announced today that seven AdviniaCare residents have passed away after testing positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts are with the families who have lost a relative and we are hoping for a speedy recovery for those who have tested positive, most of whom remain asymptomatic at this time,” said Chris Hannon, Chief Operating Officer at Pointe Group Care.
The nursing home facility noted that all seven residents were receiving end-of-life care prior to testing positive.
77 additional AdviniaCare residents have tested positive for the virus according to the Wilmington Health Department.
