POSITIVE NEWS: Wilmington True Value & Sherwin Williams Donate Paint Suits To Nurses At Winchester Hospital

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Apple recently asked readers to share any acts of kindness they’ve seen displayed in the community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Tewksbury resident Christine Chesbrough wrote in to praise the generosity of Wilmington True Value (264 Main Street) and Wilmington’s Sherwin Williams (188 Main Street).

“Last Saturday, I helped a Tewksbury nurse who works at Winchester Hospital by calling around to different area businesses for donations of paint suits. The nurses were wanting paint suits as they were short on regular medical supplies,” explained Chesbrough. “Sherwin Williams and Wilmington True Value both donated the paint suits they had. It was wonderful how, with just one phone call, they both stepped up right away.”

Chesbrough noted her phone calls also yielded additional paint suit donations from the Home Depots in Tewksbury and Reading, and glove donations from Route 38 Tattoo in Tewksbury. She expresses her thanks to those businesses as well.
