POLICE LOG for March 21: Dead Trees Being Removed Near Tracks; Citations Issued; Group Home Issues

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, March 21, 2020:
  • Police came across a suspicious vehicle behind St. Thomas. Checked OK. Operator was a newspaper delivery driver. (4:54am)
  • A Salem Street caller reported someone was removing wood along the train tracks. Police responded. Keolis employee was conducting an ongoing project of removing dead trees on the railroad’s property. (2:09pm)
  • A caller reported an erratic driver on Lowell Street. Police cited driver for unregistered and expired inspection. Plates were confiscated. Vehicle was towed. Police transported the driver to the Woburn line. (2:17pm)
  • A caller reported the door on her mother’s vehicle struck the mirror of a vehicle parked next to it in the Target parking lot. No damage to either vehicle, but caller wanted the incident logged. Police responded and issued a citation for unregistered and expired inspection. (2:32pm)
  • Police located missing juvenile from Milestone Group Home near the Woburn Street School. Staff member came out to retrieve the juvenile. (5:09pm)
  • A caller reported kids were playing basketball at the high school court. Police responded and no one was there. (8:29pm)
  • A caller reported the juvenile left on foot again from Milestone Group Home on High Street. Juvenile was located on High Street and brought to station. Employee came to station to retrieve the juvenile. (9:09pm)
