I would like to thank all who signed my nomination papers for the Board of Selectmen. It will be an honor to serve you if elected.
There are many projects and issues facing Wilmington in the coming months that will need to be addressed. I feel I will be able to respond to these issues strongly by listening to the residents and making a decision based on what’s best for the town fairly and honestly. That’s my promise to listen and make a fair assessment of the projects in front of the board.
It’s time we address issues that are long overdue such as a Senior Center, Public Safety Substation, schools, a Town Hall and a School Administration Building. Environmental issues, water, and open space must also be addressed, as well as roads. We are fortunate to have a State House delegation that’s been active in receiving funding for Route 38 reconstruction.
There are a number of empty commercial buildings. We need to develop a stronger working relationship with commercial property owners. We need to control construction by working with developers.
We will also need to address what may become our largest issue — waste/rubbish. It’s not a pretty subject, but one that will need the Board’s attention sooner than later.
Thank you for supporting my campaign I look forward to speaking to you the voters.
