5 Things To Know In Wilmington On Sunday, March 1, 2020

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Sunday, March 1, 2020:

#1) Public Skating At Ristuccia Arena

Ristuccia Memorial Arena (190 Main Street) is holding a public skating session on from 11am to 1pm. Admission (all ages) costs $5 per person. Rental skates will also be available for $5 per person. (Most sizes available.)

#2) Wilmington Dance Academy Showcase

The Wilmington Dance Academy is holding a Performance Team Showcase  at 2pm in the Wilmington High School Auditorium (159 Church Street).

Tickets cost $10 in advance by visiting the studio’s front desk or sending an email to wdateamfundraising@gmail.com. Tickets cost $12 at the door. Cash only. Proceeds will benefit the studio’s performance teams. Event also includes a bake sale and raffles before the show and during intermission.

#3) Wilmington Farmers Market

The Wilmington Farmers Market will be open from 2pm to 4pm in the Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street).

  • Girl Scout Troop 82082 will be selling cookies & talking about recycling.
  • Wilmington Figure Skating Club will be at the Community Table.
  • Make Superhero Puppets at the Kids Craft Table.

#4) Breakfast Fundraiser For Veterans At Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge

The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge #2070 invites the public to a fundraiser breakfast from 8am to 11:30am at the Elks Lodge (777 South Street, Tewksbury). Tickets, available at the door, cost $7 per person. Eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, coffee and juice are available. The event’s proceeds will benefit Operation Finally Home, an organization which builds houses for paralyzed and handicapped veterans. Have a question about the event? #5) Junior WOW Meeting At Villanova Hall

Jr. WOW kids will be meeting at Villanova Hall at 11am to make posters for Wilmington’s Special Olympics athletes. WOW will supply posters and decorating materials – you just need to bring your creativity. All children are welcome!
