WILMINGTON, MA — Michael P. “Mike” Crowell, of Wilmington, passed away at Lahey Clinic Monday evening, February 16th after being stricken at his home. The beloved husband of Diane M. Bourque-Crowell, he was forty-five years of age.
Born in Boston he was the son of Kenneth and Joan (Kenney) Crowell. Raised and educated in West Bridgewater . Mike was a graduate of Southeastern High School along with the Class of 1992. While in High School Mike played soccer and baseball, where he truly excelled. Baseball was his favorite, and it showed! He was an outstanding player all throughout high school.
Mike’s sporting interests were strongly with the St. Louis Cardinals, Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabers, all of whom he has followed all throughout his life! Needless to say that throughout the years this led to many great conversations! Particularly in this state!
Six years ago, Mike began dating Diane Bourque. There was a first date, but, on the second date, there was a connection made that lasted over six years, having married just three years ago. They were soul mates, right from that second date! They cherished the times that they spent together having travelled to motorcycle weekend in Franconia, Niagra Falls, Cardinals, Sabers and Buffalo Bill games, enjoying each! When they were not at the stadiums, rinks or fields they watched on TV! When they were not each working at their chosen professions and had time off, you can rest assure they were together!
Mike not only worked in the food industry, but he also enjoyed the kitchen at home, and was no stranger to preparing truly delightful and delectable dinners for his bride!
A kind, gentle and thoughtful man, Mike’s heart was big and full of love. The people he shared his life with, were very special to him, and held very special places in that very “big heart” of his..
Mike is lovingly survived by his dear wife, Diane M. Bourque-Crowell. Beloved son of Kenneth P. and Joan E. (Kenney) Crowell of W. Bridgewater and loved grandson of Helen Kenney.
