NOW HIRING: WCTV Seeks New Executive Director

Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television:

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Community Television (WCTV) seeks a new Executive Director to lead our thriving community media center in Wilmington, MA. The ideal candidate should align with current strategy of being an active station, with staff producing content on a regular basis and members contributing either as producers or volunteer assistants. The station embraces social media and online video-on-demand as tools to make sure content is reaching a wide audience. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, which offers support and guidance on the company’s mission.

WCTV works closely with other local non-profits and town departments on their media needs. It has become a close ally of the school department, working with students and teachers alike. The Executive Director fosters these relationships and charts a path that is beneficial to the station and its partners.

The community television landscape is changing, both from a content perspective and in looking at traditional funding. WCTV seeks a bold leader who can help the station navigate these changing times. An ideal candidate should be ready to take on a variety of roles, from managing staff and recruiting volunteers to seeking business sponsors and marketing the station’s efforts.

The Board of Directors will begin its search immediately. Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to board@wctv.org. Please include any salary requirements in your letter.
