POLICE LOG for January 14: Woman Texts 911 She’s Being Kidnapped By Lyft Driver; Trash Truck Takes Down Wires; Hit & Run

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, January 14, 2020:
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Charles River Labs. (6:53pm)
  • A Ferguson Road resident reported wires were taken down by a trash truck this morning. Wires were off to the site of the road. Comcast notified. (8:16am)
  • A caller reported he was rear-ended by a small SUV that fled. Crash occurred on Main Street. (1:06pm)
  • Police received a text to 911 from a woman stating her Lyft driver was attempting to rob or kidnap her. Texter gave plate number and last known vacation — getting onto 95 from 93 South via Exit 37A. State Police was notified and pulled over vehicle prior to text disconnecting. (4:18pm)
