Michael McKelvey Joins Reading Cooperative Bank As Vice President, Commercial Lender

READING, MA — Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) would like to announce the hiring of Michael McKelvey as VP, Commercial Lending. Michael comes to RCB from East Boston Savings Bank as the Vice President of Corporate Banking. Michael has 15 years in the financial and commercial banking industry. He began his career at GE Capital as a member of the Asset-Based Lending Group before holding Commercial Lending Officer roles at Bank of New Canaan and Santander Bank. Michael graduated from Quinnipiac University with a BS in Business Management.

“I’m happy to be joining a strong community bank,” Michael said. “I look forward to helping RCB continue to develop its commercial loan portfolio in markets both new and existing.”

“Michael is a great addition to our team,” Glenn Strauss, SVP & Chief Lending Officer, remarked. “He will unquestionably be an asset for both the bank and our department. I’m highly confident that Michael’s experience and ability will serve us well as we continue to grow.”

Michael resides in Lynnfield, MA with his wife and two children. In his free time, he volunteers as a coach in youth sports and enjoys playing golf and traveling with his family.
