WILMINGTON, MA — Emma De Guzman Williams, age 83, a long-time resident of Wilmington, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on January 2, 2020.
Emma was born in Matnog, Sorsogon, Philippines on September 25, 1936; she was the dear daughter of the late Narseco Benvenido De Guzman and Urbana (Fuster) De Guzman.
Emma was the devoted mother of Maria Forbes and her husband Thomas of Saratoga Springs, NY, Jane Williams and her partner George Stribley of Wilmington, MA, Nancy Williams of Wilmington, MA and Yvette Lovstad of Los Angeles, CA. She was the loving “Lola” of Scott, Tyler, Hanover, Maxwell and Alexandra. Emma was one of eleven siblings and is survived by her sister Nilda Palacios, as well as an extended family of nieces and nephews in the Philippines.
Family and friends gathered at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Saturday, January 4th for Visiting Hours from 10:00-11:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA at 12:00 noon. Interment took place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.
