WILMINGTON, MA — In the latest episode of WCTV’s “Where’s Wilmington?,” host Lisa Kapala interviews Rick Lowe — owner of Tremezzo Ristorante, Tremezzo Pizzeria, and Josie’s Bakery — and his Executive Pastry Chef Alex Breau.
Lowe explains why he opened his businesses in Wilmington, the importance he places on hiring local teens, the giving back he does to the community, his recent award from the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and the team that works for him, why he praises other Wilmington restaurants, his recent visit from the Phantom Gourmet, and advice to those interested in entering the restaurant business.
Breau discusses how she got involved with Josie’s Bakery, her restaurant experience, what her typically day looks like, how she decides what to place on the menu, and what the future of the bakery may hold, including new menu items (donuts!) and baking/pastry classes for children and adults.
