POLICE LOG for November 15: Driver Issued Summons; Gas Line Damaged; Rifle Found

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, November 15, 2019:
  • Andover Police reported an aggressive operator who was tailgating, passed the vehicle, and then slammed on their brakes. Operator was last seen passing into Wilmington on Ballardvale Street. Police were unable to locate vehicle. (6:45am)
  • A caller reported a fire hydrant leaking in the Chestnut Street area which caused a slight ice condition. Police notified DPW. Cap on the hydrant was replaced. (7:46am)
  • A detail officer reported a crew ripped up the gas service feeder line to a Middlesex Avenue residence. Fire Department and National Grid contacted. (7:50am)
  • A trash truck broke down on Woburn Street. In-house tow scheduled to arrive shortly. (9:02am)
  • A Somerset Place resident reported their trash barrel was missing or stolen. (10:41am)
  • Police were notified a rifle was found when cleaning out a residence. (5:27pm)
  • A 6-vehicle crash occurred on 93 South after Exit 39. State Police handled the scene. Fire Department responded. (6:20pm)
  • Carlos Hugo Munozbetancur (52, Lowell) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle and Failure To Stop/Yield. (9:57pm)
