5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Friday, November 22, 2019

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Friday, November 22, 2019:

#1) WHS Lamplighters Drama Guild Presents BLACK COMEDY

The Wilmington High School’s Lamplighters Drama Guild is ready to entertain you with its production of Black Comedy.

Shows will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 7pm and Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2pm and 7pm in the Wilmington High School’s Joanne Benton Memorial Auditorium.

Tickets cost $5 for students, seniors (65 and over), and military, and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased in advanced HERE. Tickets will also be sold at the door. On Opening Night, students can purchase a ticket in advance for just $1.

Black Comedy is a one-act farce by Peter Shaffer, first performed in 1965.

“Lovesick and desperate, sculptor Brindsley Miller has embellished his apartment with furniture and objects darte borrowed from the absent antique collector next-door, hoping to impress his fiancées pompous father and a wealthy art dealer. The fussy neighbor, Harold Gorringe, returns just as a blown fuse plunges the apartment into darkness and Brindsley is revealed. Unexpected guests, aging spinsters, errant phone cords, and other snares impede his frantic attempts to return the purloined items before light is restored.”

When arriving for the event, please enter Wilmington High through the right rear event entrance. Free parking is available in the high school parking lot (entrance from Adams Street) and across the street near the 4th of July Building parking lot on Middlesex Avenue.
