#1) Wilmington Veterans Day Ceremony
The Wilmington Department of Veterans Services invites all the residents of Wilmington to attend, remember and honor all our past and present Veterans on Monday, November 11, 2019 for the Town of Wilmington’s Veterans’ Day ceremonies. We will assemble at the Fourth of July parking lot at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to the Town Common for this year’s Veterans’ Day ceremonies at 11:00 a.m.
This year’s ceremony will begin with the ringing of our Ceremonial Bell 21 times as a salute and remembrance of those who served and sacrificed during the Battle of the Bulge on the 75th year Anniversary. Wilmington Methodist Church is having a complimentary breakfast for all Veterans to enjoy on Saturday, November 9th at 9:00 am. Please feel free to come on by and enjoy the morning with food and other Veterans at 87 Church St Fellowship Hall. #2) Free Coffee At Wilmington Public Safety Building
The Wilmington Police Department is offering free coffee for veterans and residents at the Public Safety Building at 9am.
#3) Wilmington Youth Hockey’s ‘Hockey & Heroes’ Fundraiser At Tremezzo Ristorante
he Wilmington Youth Hockey Association is holding a “Hockey and Heroes” fundraiser on Monday, November 11, 2019, from 11:30am to 7pm, at Tremezzo Ristorante (2 Lowell Street).
Bring the whole family and your friends to help raise money for Wilmington’s boys and girls in blue while paying tribute to our local Veterans.
15% of all proceeds of food ordered will go back to the Wilmington Youth Hockey Association. Applies to both dine-in and take-out orders. No flyer needed. Advanced registration suggested by calling 978-447-5967.
The event will include:
- Make a Card/Write a Letter to say ‘Thank You’ to a local soldier/veteran
- Toiletry Drive to benefit Local Heroes
- Exceptional Raffles

#4) Free Donuts For Veterans & Active Military At Dunkin’
Dunkin’ will once again celebrate Veterans Day with a sweet salute to those who serve our country. On Monday, November 11, 2019, at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide, veterans and active duty military are eligible to receive a free donut of their choice with no purchase necessary. (While supplies last. Limit one per customer.)

Below is a basic overview of what’s open and closed in Wilmington on Labor Day (Monday, September 2, 2019):

- Wilmington Trash Collection: NONE (Monday’s collection will take place on Tuesday, Tuesday’s collection will take place on Wednesday, etc.)

- Convenience Stores: OPEN
