#1) Music Bingo At Wilmington KofC
Enjoy an evening of Music Bingo with Lisa Kapala at 7:30pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). There is no fee to play! 6 rounds of bingo! Prizes! The event is open to the public (21 and over). Use the building’s rear entrance and proceed down to the lounge. Attendees are welcome to bring snacks and buy drinks from the bar. The lounge is smoke-free. The organizers are fun, friendly, and would love to have you!
#2) DEADLINE: Open Space & Recreation Survey
The Town of Wilmington Open Space Committee is working on updating the Town’s Open Space & Recreation Plan and is asking for your input. Please take a few minutes to complete an online survey about open space in Town. Survey results will aid the Committee in establishing open space goals for the next five years.
The survey link can be found on the Town’s website and can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/wilmingtonopenspace.
Paper copies of the survey are available at the Wilmington Memorial Library, the Buzzell Senior Center, and upon request.
The survey will run through November 8, 2019. Residents of every age are encouraged to take the survey. Thank you for your input!

#3) DEADLINE: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament For Reegan Noble
Wilmington Travel Basketball is organizing a special 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Wilmington Middle School. The event will raise funds for the family of Reegan Noble, a Wilmington 14-year-old who is currently battling Non-Hodkin’s Lymphoma.
This double elimination tournament will feature teams of 3-5 players in separate male/female divisions:
- Boys & Girls — Grades 3+4 (Ivy Division) — play at 9:00am
- Boys & Girls — Grades 5+6 (ACC Division) — play at 11:00pm
- Boys & Girls — Grades 7+8 (Big 10 Division) — play at 1:00pm
- Boys & Girls – High School Division — play at 3:00pm
- Men & Woman — 18-35 Division — play at 5:00pm
- Men & Woman — Over 35 Division — play at 6:00pm
All games will be officiated and 10 minutes in duration. Teams are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their division’s designated start time.
Registration is now open. To register, email Wilmington Travel Basketball President Joe Maiella at email@example.com by Friday, November 8, 2019. There is a team fee of $75. All proceeds will benefit Reegan and her family. Please make checks payable to “Wilmington Travel Basketball.” Checks can be given on the day of the tournament at the check-in table.
Food, pizza and snacks will be for sale during the event. Make sure to try your luck at the Gift Basket Raffle Table and the 50/50 Raffle.
Local businesses, organizations and individuals are invited to become a “Basket Sponsor” my making a $100 donation. Checks can be mailed to “Wilmington Travel Basketball” at 15 Pinewood Avenue, Wilmington. Wilmington Travel Basketball’s Tax ID number will be made available to “Basket Sponsors.”

#4) Drop-In Storytime At Wilmington Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a drop-in storytime at 10am. Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ages 2-5 and one or more adults. Drop in.
#5) Needleworkers At Wilmington Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Needleworkers session at 10am. If you do any kind of needlework, this group is for you. Bring a project and learn from others while enjoying a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.
