5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Saturday, October 19, 2019

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Saturday, October 19, 2019:

#1) Wilmington Flea Market At Town Common

The Annual Flea Market organized by the Wilmington Sons of Italy and Wilmington High School Band Parents Association will take place from 8am to 3pm in the Town Common Parking Lot, next to the Fourth of July Building.

Community members are encouraged to stop by and shop. More than 30 vendors are expected to be on hand. In addition to finding great bargains, attendees can enjoy music and a BBQ lunch.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wilmington Sons of Italy and the Wilmington High School Band Parents Association.

#2) Fun Fair At Wilmington’s 99 Restaurant

Wilmington’s 99 Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) is holding a Fun Fair from 11am to 6pm.

The fair will include a carnival, games, face painting, family photos and more.

All proceeds will be donated from the Woburn Boys & Girls Club.

#3) Town-Wide Flu Clinic At Town Hall

The Wilmington Health Department is hosting a Town Wide Flu Clinic for residents ages 5 & up from 9am to noon at Wilmington Town Hall (121 Glen Road).

Here is what you need to know about the town’s flu clinic:

  • Free of Charge.
  • Remember to bring your insurance cards. Medicare card holders are asked to bring their NEW cards.
  • Vaccine will be available even if you do not have insurance.
  • Please do not arrive earlier than the specified time.
  • Anyone with a fever should delay vaccination.
  • All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Injectable vaccine will be available. High dose will NOT be available.

#4) Kick Cancer Soccer Games At Wilmington High

The WHS Boys & Girls Soccer teams will hold their annual “Kick Cancer Games” at Wilmington High School on Saturday, October 19, 2019. The boys play at 5pm, while the girls play at 7pm. Youth soccer players wearing their jerseys — or anyone wearing pink — will be admitted to the games free of charge. Donations will be accepted for the Wilmington-based Hope & Friendship Metastatic Breast Cancer Foundation.

#5) Poetry Circle At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting its monthly Poetry Circle at 9:15am. Do you enjoy writing poetry? Want input on your work? If so, this group is for you.
