WCTV News & Notes: Stop By WCTV’s Booth For Cool Wildcat Photo Op At WHS Football Game On October 11

The below announcement was submitted by Shaun Neville, Executive Director of Wilmington Community Television (WCTV):

WILMINGTON, MA — WCTV will once again be live for Wildcat football this Friday night. Tune in at 7PM to see Wilmington versus Burlington, weather permitting. It looks like it might be a wet one, and rain is not only bad for our equipment, it’s also bad for our volunteer camera operators. If it gets too bad, we’ll have to postpone our coverage.

But if it’s not too rainy, you can also be on the look-out for a WCTV booth. Stop by to learn more about what we do and how you might be able to get involved. For a small donation, you can be a part of our Wildcat photo collage. We’ll be snapping pictures in front of our portable green screen and letting you send personal messages to players, band members, cheerleaders or whoever else you’re there to support! Stop by our booth this Friday night at Alumni Stadium to learn more.

Have you ever been to WCTV? A lot of people can’t believe what they see when they come in for the first time. I’ve heard “I can’t believe a place like this exists in Wilmington” more than a couple of times. Our facility is open to the public.  Anyone who lives in Wilmington, works in Wilmington or belongs to a Wilmington organization can sign up to become a member.

What does membership get you?  You can produce a program inside our main studio, host a podcast in our audio room or reserve equipment for an event or interview on-location in Wilmington. Or you can be a part of our crew that covers sports, concerts and other community events throughout the year. You bring the ideas. We help with the training and provide a platform.

If you’re interested in learning a bit more about WCTV, even if you’re not looking to produce any programming, we invite you to check out our Fall Open House on Wednesday, October 23rd. Pop over to our studio, located at 10 Waltham St., anytime from 7-8:30P. We’ll give you a tour and answer any questions you have.

We offer these types of events as a casual way to give you a glimpse at what we do. But if you want to schedule a private tour or have a specific question about membership, you can always contact WCTV’s Community Relations Coordinator Lisa Kapala at lisa@wctv.org or 978-657-4066.
