POLICE LOG for September 11: Jamaican Scam Call; Teens Discard Beer Cans In Roadway

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, September 11, 2019:

  • A walk-in reported receiving several calls from a number out of Jamaica. The male party identified himself as a federal agent and threatened to come to his house. Station officer advised him this was a scam and logged the incident. (10:35am)
  • Police responded to a hold-up alarm at Peoples United Bank on Main Street. Clearly accidentally hit button. (6:34pm)
  • A group of juveniles discarded beer cans on Biggar Avenue. Receipt was left with the beer. Police to follow up. (8:47pm)
  • Police notified a resident that he lost his wallet at Stop & Shop in Reading and the Reading Police has his wallet. (9:00pm)
