OBITUARY: Nancy Anne McLellan, 51

BOSTON, MA — Nancy (Nance) Anne McLellan, 51, of East Boston, formerly of Wilmington, passed away suddenly in her home in East Boston on Sept 3, 2019.

Nancy was born on February 1, 1968. She was the daughter of the late George McLellan and the late Lurlyne Black McLellan. She is survived by her brother, William McLellan and her niece, Madison and nephew, Joshua. Nancy attended Wilmington High School. She worked at the YMCA and EMARC for many years, as a mentor and friend.

Nancy adored her friends and her cat, Gadget (“Gadgie Boy”). She was passionate about photography, her favorite subject being seagulls, airplanes and the beach, as they were symbolic of her love for God and her mother and father. She also loved storm chasing and kayaking. Her favorite place in the world, was her childhood vacation spot, in New Harbor Maine. She would often reminisce about her special memories at Pemaquid Point.

Nancy was like the sunshine. She brought light into our lives. We will miss her sense of humor and the way her blue eyes would sparkle when she laughed. Nancy was a friend of Bill W and very active in the recovery community. Her presence will be missed by her friends and by all, whose lives she touched. There will be a private celebration, on the beach, of Nancy’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory, can be made to Friends of Pemaquid Lighthouse: P.O. Box 367, Damariscotta, Me 04543-0367 or to Northeast Animal Shelter 347 Highland Ave, Salem, Ma 01970.
